To be honest the whole situation from top to bottom is laughable. I'll stick to commenting on the football side of it tho. Players at this stage are as much to blame as Crappatoni. Players should be standing up to the situation instead of letting themselves be the chosen ones the be embarrassed again. Trap gave the players the opportunity the other day to say if they taught things were wrong and no1 stood up to it. The FAI cannot afford to pay him off so the players need to step in and refuse to play for him. That'll surely force him to resign.

Thats a bit harsh. Look at the squad. Loads of players with limited enough international experience, and others who aren't considered regulars yet. Don't think its fair to suggest that these players should feel confident enough in their own international manager to challenege the manager. They all read the same stuff we do. IF they think he's unsackable, why should they miss out on 2/3 years of internationals for speaking their mind?

There is loads of players with limited international experience but these are the players he refused to blood into the side. Keane is captain, he is the players voice so it should be up to him to approach the management but we all know that he'll never say a bad word about anyone. We all know football is a results business and we all know the results we've had. It doesn't matter if we are playing the number 1 seed or the 200th seed, professionalism and effort is expected from every game and under Trap we don't get that. Surely players know that the manager isn't getting the best from them and they should be big enough to say so. If they feel its for the good of the country they should be willing to do anything even if it includes missing 2 years

But how is them standing up to him, then the FAI backing him, and them losing out "helping the country"? What could possibly make them think that them standing up to him would have any effect in the FAI?

The FAI are only backing him because they can't afford to pay him off plus they don't want to be seen as the idiots they are after giving him a new contract just before the Euro's. To be honest, the best result for Ireland going forward is a defeat tomorrow, it's horrible to say but it's the truth.

It's only common sense, if he was a club manager he'd have been sacked over a year ago

Disappointed to see O'Dea playing again, should be nowhere near the team. Was a complete joke of a performance from him on friday

Keane aswell, lets be honest he brings nothing to the side that Long and Doyle don't. McGeady aswell, I used to defend his performances and inclusions but a waste of a jersey at this stage

Everyone from starting 11 bar Westwood and Walters should be dropped tomorrow. I'm not sure about injuries but my starting 11 would be

    Westwood
    Kelly Clarke Bruce Wilson
    Brady Meyler Whelan McClean
    Long Walters

As I said I'm not sure about injuries etc so forgive me if players aren't in squad

Well, Bruce plays for Northern Ireland anyway (and Whelan & McClean are injured)

Funny on the FAI facebook page, loads of muppets going mental that McClean wasn't picked

Sorry was supposed to be Pearce not Bruce. Coleman didn't look comfortable for me at full back, kept getting dragged across into the centre leaving too much space behind him. I'm not sure on the squad thats available but Westwood and Walters deffo only 2 that deserve to start after Friday

Don't think it would sell an extra 10000 seats but it might stop the exodus of regular fans that just won't pay to watch the muck served up currently. Wasn't touting Brian Kerr as there's no way that will happen. Just illustrating the type of person you can get for a relatively small budget.

    Straight back to 4-4-2, sake.
And Brian Kerr is in tears.

A lot of the players in the squad probably wouldn't be there under a new manager, Robbie Keane included.

Why would they speak out against a man giving them international football?

Don't think anyone expected Sweden to get anything out of tonight's game. Don't think anyone expected us not to beat the Faroes either.

Permutations couldn't be simpler. We need 3/4 points from the Sweden games, and to match or better their results against the others. No more or less confident of that happening than I was on Friday.

Ryan Coombes got the equaliser as Ireland drew 2-2 with Germany in the u19 qualifiers. Ireland through to elite level.
