    Cheltenham 2014

Cheltenham is nearly upon us... I have a few fancies for the festival... Irving to win the Supreme, Lac Fontana to win the county hurdle and Big Shu to win the Cross Country. These are my 3 fancies for the festival

Waiting until the ground conditions becomes clear. If its heavy or very soft then I think Harry Topper and Last Instalment have great chances in the Gold Cup. If it is anything drier then soft then they have little chance and more than likely wont run. Faugheen would be one I would be a big fan of for the Neptune but hes quite short and a Mullins hotpot was beaten in the same race last year.

Like Last Instalment for the Gold Cup if he runs, which he only will if he gets significant cut. At this stage, with the going still anyone's guess, I've stronger opinions on which of the favourites/talked up horses I think won't win (Faugheen, Irving, Champagne Fever, Sire De Grugy, Al Ferof, Big Buck's) than will win.
We are at war with Eurasia. We've always been at war with Eurasia.

Already have had a flutter on Last Instalment after his win the other month, more in hope than belief. I've been looking through the races the last few days and i just keep siding with the Irish horses, probably being way too biased. Mullins/Ruby seem to be high on most of their horses so it's difficult to rule out any of them. Agree that i can see plenty of favourites being turned over like Sire De Grugy and Big Bucks (even though Annie Power is fav in some places). Should be a cracking festival with Tuesday looking mouthwatering

Went to a preview night there in Westmanstown. Panel very keen on Briar Hill for the Albert Bartlett, Morning Assembly E/w for the Rsa and Beneficient for whatever race he chooses to go to

The waiting is over . Mullins could have 4 winners by this evening . I think champagne fever if he's stays up he wins.schooled last week and jumped like a stag.

Mixed day, Vautour was a nice win but Champagne Fever getting nailed on the line really was a kick in the teeth. Gutted with Hurricane Fly's run
