    Bohs members meeting last night

My cuz hows a bohs member for his sins filled me on some of their meeting last night

75 grand owed to the FAI after they used that money to pay players and bills. Money that was to given to the FAI from Ireland tickets that where sold by bohs

50+ grand owed to the revenue, who are getting tough over it and want the money asap

They only want to keep 4 players and have told the rest they aint needed (madden, greene, cronnin asa he's injured and cant get rid, and some other player thats on loan to shels, cant remember his name. The other contracted aint budging though

A large 6 figure sum is needed to get them through to next season

The FAI have told them that if they go into administration then they'll get an A championship licence at best

Still think they'll pull through but their budget for next year won't be anywhere near 1.2 million. If they'd any balls, they'd go amateur for a couple of years and sort themselves out

And never get punished. They'll get away with it again.

is this Bohs officially acknowledging they need 300k to get through licensing? (whatever that means)

Best line of all is this little gem, that still hints that it wasn't their fault

Tuesday's meeting will hear how the property market crisis and the economic downturn have put the club's survival in peril.

Fuck's sake. It's like the recession is reduced to a raincloud hanging over Phibsboro - not like anyone else was affected at all. Yes Bohs, the economy chose to pick on you, how unfair. Rovers fan told me today that Shelley and Keegan set to go to them. He'd also like Brennan to sign for them, though he admits he's a lunatic. It's going to be a fire sale...

finally their bubble has burst but for them to get into 5 million euros worth of debt makes a complete mockery of the licensing scheme,I have no sympathy for them they continued to gamble on euro success to finance them. They have to all extents and purposes been cheating year after year winning titles they shouldn't have won as they couldn't afford the team of players they were employing its a joke.

Some players have moves sorted and deals agreed to clubs in england and bohs aren't letting them go. Disgraceful by them again

The FAI are set to keep the prize money they won this year to ensure they get paid
To ensure the people who run the league in the FAI can continue to get paid afterall thats the only reason they run a league plus by FIFA rules you need one in order to have a National Team in International events.

Do you really think they care ?

Not true. San Marino has no league and they're allowed compete.

Richardson fears for Boh's future. I wonder are the Bohs supporters on foot.ie still claiming that there's no financial crisis?

That's the one - knew it was one of those makey up tax haven countries we struggle to beat. Point remains you don't technically need a league of your own to field an International team. And even if the LOI collapsed altogether the FAI could just claim the LSL as our league if they so chose.

No wonder Irish bonds have gone through the roof. Brian Lenihan was just on CNBC blaming Nutsy. Jerry Cuffe has been summonsed to the G20 meeting too.
