Story I heard was Nutsy bought himself out of his contract for 100 grand and Hibs built the money into his contract. Good luck to him and anyone who can get a gig over the water. A decent stable wage for a couple of years in this game not to be sniffed at.
Thats the money they owed him in bonuses.

Fair play hope he does well.

I think he's done the right thing. Staying with Bohs would be a hiding to nothing.

Both Dalymount and Tolka are now due to be sold.

When this happens Richmond will be the only LOI ground within walking distance of the city centre. This should present us with huge opportunities to attract more fans. Whether the club is astute enough to capitalise on this is difficult to predict.

Shels had hoped to move into Dalymount when Tolka was sold but it looks like that hope is well and truly scuppered.

It will be an absolute tragedy if Dalymount and Tolka are lost to football forever but I have no sympathy for either Bohs or Shels. They knew what they were doing and shouldn't be bailed out by anyone.

No loss in loosing tolka IMO
It was great about 12 years ago but they haven't even tried to put anything into it

Dalymount could be re-developed but from what i've been told the GAA are trying to get their hands on the place

We should be taking advantage of this by offering a ground sharing deal or else
Let them both rot in the morton stadium and then we're the last team in the DCC's vicinity

Yeah- a ground share would at worst give us additional income (I thnk 5/7 years ao we used to charge Shams 3,500 per game)

it may even give us something to approach the council with and seek support in offering and amenity to locals (maybe some financial assistance for ground emprovements or support in "other plans")

wouldnt be a bad thing- there would never be a chace of them robbing our fans locally.

I'd rather they built houses on the place than let that shower anywhere near a football ground even if it is Bohs who own the place.

Maybe they could build a car park instead? Come to think of it, there is already a car park taking up half the Connaught Street side

GAA wouldn't want something so close to Croke park, would they?

If they did buy it, it'd be a very handy off-street carpark for catering to GAA fans, handy walking distance to Croke Park. Ballybough / Drumcondra / Phibsboro is a traffic disaster any time there's a match on there. That's before you even get into the malicious pleasure they'd take in levelling the "home of Irish football" in the process.

Yeah, but I thought it was a southside alternative for lesser games?
