Were they not always renters??????????????
Who's really pushing for this club to keep going ?
I'm probably being a bit OTT here, but they have no fans, no base in a community, they are a money pit and clearly in trouble, and now this ?
Cyril The Judas
Now doubt we'll have The Lep on now telling us how the club moving out of Fingal is part of 'the plan'.

Fingal's financial projections for licencing will now be based heavily on gate receipts given that the sugar daddy is gone. Given also that the vast majority of fans at their games are away fans .. and this isn't exactly in the christmas spirit, a bit of a reluctance to go to (I wouldn't say boycott) of their home games by away fans would quickly finish them off !! and as a bonus Bohs would loose the rent. Ba humbug. Ask yourself how fed up are you propping up the likes of Fingal and UCD .. lovely football my a**e, I want atmosphere and rivalry.
Apparently this is gonna cost them €100,000 in rent. Not sure if that's per season or for the 3 season deal. At least we never have to set foot in the Santry Siro (yeah, right) ever again.
have to say i do enjoy playin them.good games of football,as for your boycott idea...grow up
nice earner for Bohs
Cyril The Judas
Grand earner for bohs. Wonder what the betting is that both clubs will still be around when the 3 year deal expires?
If morton was refused as part of the licence proposal this season how did it pass last seasons criteria ?
At least it means that we won't have to go to that kip in Santry again.
I wouldn't shed a tear if they went belly up. No ground, no fans. It's pathetic the number of fans they bring away to a Dublin derby - 40 or 50? Some junior clubs bring more.
Given the fact that NAMA are chasing Gerry Gannon, I'd say their days are numbered or at least the days when they could pay outrageous wages for some fairly average players and totally distort the market.
Good riddance to them, I say.
Gannon pulled the plug. That's public knowledge. Wether Nama go after him or not will have no bearing on the future of the club.
You cant predict how much you will get on gate receipts but i see where you are coming from. It would be true to say that Pats, rovers, bohs ,dundalk and drogheda once or twice had more support at our home games no argument there. It would be foolish for any club to think they can survive on home fans alone. You are not propping up anyone . I think we all want atmosphere and a bit of friendly rivalry.
Just glanced through http://www.rte.ie/sport/soccer/2010/...dalymount.html
- Hard work pays off in the future. Laziness pays off now
You say we have no fans then you say we bring a pathetic number of fans, confused much ?
Good riddence? eh?
Gannon and nama have nothing to do with Sporting Fingal seeing that its public knowladge that he isnt with us anymore. Fingal wasnt paying outragous wages that was down to cork and shels in the past.
Ye, thats the one posted in the opening post. This one has a bit more info.

yeah we were, paying ndo, keane, O'cearuill savage amount of money, not far offer offering gamble 4k a week.
Why would players drop down to the first division unless it was for more money??
dont say for first team football, because they could have got that in the premier...
We All Dream Of A Team Of Curly Wurly's!!! A Team Of Curly Wurly's!!! A Team Of Curly Wurly's!!!
There was a slight difference between ourselves and Bohs on wages though. We just used Kelleher's money, they borrowed for their wages.
Equal levels of stupidity of course
