    Kick off times

Whats your thoughts on a 5pm kick off on a saturday for league games? Would it attract more fans especially away fans ?

Friday night is the best time. Theres too much on a sat,
Schoolboy football, junior football, Gaelic Football, Premiership, horse racing to name a few things.

Different days work for different clubs, it's the chopping and changing of kick off times that fuck up attendances

A lot of people work on saturdays these days, so i think it would be best to leave it on friday nights

Might bring more away fans. But is it worth scheduling a league around 20 Sligo or galway fans?

For Pats, anything but Friday sees a dramatic drop off

We've never tried it as a regular schedule but I think if marketed properly it could bring in more families. The 9.40pm finish on a Friday nignt must have an effect on young children attending (and the children are our future)
If we were to move away from Friday nights that's the first slot I'd try. It would also open up the trains to Kildare and Laois and a hugh untapped market.
I don't think there is enough quality FA Premier League fixtures to have too much of an effect but the GAA back door is played Saturday evening and this would have an effect if the dubs became a regular fixture in the Back door.
I love Friday nights but I do believe it's restrictive.

    Friday 7.45pm or even 8pm

    Saturday 3pm or Sunday 3pm

any other times , forget it , we've had them and they flopped. 5 pm Saturday will not work in fact it wouldnt attract anybody new. the time has to be convenient at the weekend , 5 pm is in between coming home from somewhere or getting ready to go out but mainly Dinner/Teatime. 1 pm Saturday is too early as many are tied up saturday mornings doing other stuff.
