A female donkey gave her owners quite a surprise when she gave birth to a foal with striped legs.
The foal's father is a zebra.
The Chestatee Wildlife Preserve in Dahlonega, in the US, owns a handful of female zebras but just one male.

CW Wathen owns the preserve and says the donkeys live with the zebras because they keep the zebras calm, but this is the first time he has ever known them to mate.
The foal was born on 21 July and is nicknamed 'Pippi Longstocking'.
