Shame they've changed their style to radio pop. Shame, they used to be good

Might go if the support is good, great weekend if you camp out.

Don't like how bands are called 'sell outs' just because they become popular, Only By The Night had great songs on it. Their problem is they've done so many festivals over last few years they've diluted their appeal I think. Be interesting to see how it sells.

They're called sell outs because their style of music change dramatically for Only By The Night and it was only then that they became mainstream popular.
They changed their image to become popular , and thats why they're sell outs.
I still love them , and think Only By The Night is a great album , if they had of released that as their first album then everyone would say its amazing.

Can you camp at Slane ? Went last year and didnt know you were able to.

Ye you can camp just down the road, don't know the details (you'll find it online around the time of the gig). It's a B&B place a five minute walk from the entrance that has a few thousand camp out the back. About 20quid to stay there I think though but worth it to save the hassle. I stayed the whole weekend for Oasis, good times.

They have become sell outs and its very apparent...

Seen them when there 3rd album came out and they were amazing..great interaction with the crowd etc etc..

Seen them twice since 4th album and they were boring tbh...They are happy with the money and fame and just don't put the effort in for their fans anymore.

4th album apart from 1 or 2 songs is tripe and heard the same about the 5th album so have had no motivation to get it.

And this is coming from a once fanatic fan of KOL.

Do not agree that if they released "Only by the Night" as their first album that everybody would think its amazing because the reason KOL became successful with their first 3 albums and why I still love them is because they are original and different.

"Only by the Night" is a boring album that any band can come up with therefore destroys the originality they had and the reason KOL fans from the beginning call them Sell outs.

Might look into this camping then.
Went to Oasis , buses back where a nightmare, walked for a few hours and got nowhere . ended up at some garage in the middle of nowhere with another thousand or so people at about half 2 in the mornin. was just mental. was a load of bollox.
    Still a great day though.

If you playing in front of 80,000 people you have to appeal to them all. Its the "stadium" effect on bands.

Hate seeing bands in anything bigger than the Olympia

I would rather go to the seventh circle of hell that back to slane after the Oasis debacle the most horrible experience ever, KOL were great up to the last album very commercial compared to their early stuff.

Can't see anything on their website about it now so will keep a check on it over the weekend. Think it might be just a case of them send ing a password to your phone, then I'd enter that password when buying the tickets

With o2 Blueroom, the phone number holder texts for an access code, then they log into blueroom through their o2.ie account and buy the tickets from a dedicated ticketmaster page. The code is no good to you Slav unless you have the o2 log-in.
In short, you need someone to buy them for you.
I used to be with o2 and just gave everyone my log in. Saved me buying tickets for them.

I'll swap you 2 tickets for Take That!!!

Funnily enough I think I'd rather sit through Take That than go to KOL.

Clever MCD. Saying that slane has sold out then to announce the O2 gig to get the extra rush of people. Guarentee they'll release about 20,000+ more tickets when the O2 sells out

I can give you the log in if you need it Slavia. I registered for that blueroom and get texts every day. Don't remember one for kings of leon but then I wasn't waiting on it either
