Both teams are really strong but nobody has been brilliant or stood out like poulter did in 08 . Can see it going down to the last hole of the final day tbh . Some cracking holes that cause plenty of mistakes

Some atmosphere. Ryder cup had just been added to the bucket list.

As I write that, Jiminez and eduardo win holes with good putts.
    Westwood looks gone.

US only ahead in 2 of the 10 matches out, with 1 a/s. Should be ok. Poulter and Donald gonna pick up a point each, only needing two more.

That should be "only needing 3 more". 14.5 for europe to win, 14 points for USA to retain.

Not a fan of golf as a spectator sport (don't mind playing it). But was looking up there the record in this since they changed it from USA v UK or USA v UK & Ireland (when the Yanks nearly always won it) to USA v Europe. It's Yanks 7 Europe 8 with 1 draw. That's incredibly competitive compared to most of these competitions in sport with only one or two competitors (The Ashes in recent times, Tri Nations etc).

Europe have won 6 of the last 8 though and the US haven't won in Euope since 1993 and have only won it twice in europe (sinced it went to Europe...)

Loads of close ones but I'd argue Europe dominate now

Never watch Golf myself, as its ridiculously boring, but watched a good few hours of it today in the Student Bar in UCD. Was quality, have to say, and Poulter's chip was brilliant!
