A new club Bohs 2011 are set up and apply for a first division licence.

The FAI grant the new Bohs a first division licence.

The new Bohs come to a agreement with Conroy to rent Dalymount while he sorts out planning etc. (nothing is going to be built on Dalymount in the current climate so they'd have a few years to sort out a new home)

The new Bohs begin the 2011 season in Dalymount debt free but technically homeless.
Isnt that exactly what they did in 05??

No, in the above scenario Bohs wold likely pay all their debts. Rovers only paid 4%

    Technically homeless though

Does this mean that even if they win the league, they'll be stripped of it?

I could be open to correction but, yes, they'd be stripped of it. Now Slavia, there's insult to injury for any Bohs fan. Imagine them pipping Rovers in the last game of the season, only to have title taken from them and then demoted to 1st division or even Leinster Senior league! I don't care what anybody says, football in Ireland is so much more exciting than anywhere else in the world! :-)

Depends on whether they've breached the 65% salary cap. At the last big meeting they were told they're operating at 41% so I@d say they're safe.

Now, whether they'll get a UEFA licence for next year or not is a different story

Celtic FC’s line-out against Bohemians for Sunday’s friendly (kick-off 3pm) will include experienced senior team players, among them several internationals. The travelling squad features American and Polish goalkeepers, Dutch defenders, Spanish and Mexican midfielders and Irish internationals Anthony Stokes and Daryl Murphy.

Even with eight Hoops away on international duty, manager Neil Lennon can field a star-studded side and he is delighted with the opportunity to keep all his players match-sharp.

Among the travelling players with longer Celtic records are defenders Mark Wilson and Glenn Loovens and Spanish under-21 international midfielder Marc Crosas. Also coming is new signing Efrain Juarez who featured in the World Cup finals for Mexico, having won over 20 caps since he made his international debut last year.

“We have taken that [Bohemians] game on as some of the players might need some game-time before the next run of matches and hopefully it will be a decent competitive game for them,” Lennon said.

“It’s good for the club to take the team to Ireland as we have a lot of fans over there, so from that point of view we think that’s a positive thing as well.”

The travelling squad features several players who started or were on the bench for last weekend’s 3-1 defeat of Hamilton Academical. These include double goal-scorer Gary Hooper who signed this year from Scunthorpe for 2.4 million.

Some of the younger Celtic players will be on show too, including Bosnian teenager Bahrudin Ataljic, Czech youth international Filip Twardzik and Somali-born Scottish youth international Islam Feruz.

Tickets are available for this attractive fixture on Ticketmaster at their many outlets or online. They can also be bought from Bohemians’ club office and any remaining tickets will be available to buy on match day in Dalymount Park. Tickets cost €20 (€12 for students, OAPs and children under 12).

Not surprised, probably not good value to see Celtic 3rd team play the bohs 2nd team. I've no sympathy. They got themselves into the mess and won trophies at the expense of teams that were abiding by the rules.

Celtic put out a strong enough side. Only missing a few of their internationals (most of tht team aren't internationals now..)

Less than 1,000 at it according to a Bohs mate. Wonder how much Celtic charged?

Man Utd and Arsenal reserves could only muster up a few hundred when they played in that Platinum one trophy thing, Celtic can only get 1,000 for a friendly, our attendances are up from last season, Are the Irish public copping on to live football and giving Celtic and the EPL the two fingers??

    Probably not....
And Brian Kerr is in tears.

Hadn't heard. Is Madden definitely off to them? I know Bohs were expecting to make 50k from it, and now reckon they won't get €10k from it. They did up half and half badges/scarves too and are left with practically all of them

No, thats why he's dropped! Told Fenlon and Collins to fuck off he's not going, considering the shite money he was offered

Im talking proper games, Since he came back from his match wit Celtic, he's only started 2 of 7, come on as sub 5 times, considering he was playing regularly before, and had 9 goals in 9 games, coinscidence? I think not

Delighted he told fenlon and collins where to shove it

Wasn't trying to argue red. Just pointing out that QUigley and Madden played, so they're obviously not seen as vital members of Bohs team for the run in

heard brennan and madden are definitely gone to celtic from a bohs fan in work..! he was telling me that celtic game was a shambles and they are crying out for money still for the off season. seemingly the players still might not be paid in the next couple of weeks. all players are still up for grabs. i wonder can we swipe one or two in the off season..?
