Pop in an experienced Keeper and another Centre Half and its not the worst XI with a lot of a squad still to put together
Add what looks like a very good manager and they might be challenging. Some very good young players in that squad.

    Alan Keane Gavin Peers Ledwith

Raffaele Cretaro David Cawley Kevin Devaney Steven Beattie

    John Russell

    Dinny Corcoran

He's gonna have to take a pay cut wherever he goes anyway. He's not going to be first choice at any of the top 4 clubs next season

Not very merry go roundy this year. Fairly stable actuall which is starting to become a norm
North as well as Ryan Brennan, Patrick Cregg, Sean O’Connor, Simon Madden and Gary McCabe have all resigned for Rovers for next season.

Dennehy staying with Cork and looks like towell staying at Dundalk.

I'll counter that by saying a Rovers fans I work with said he's getting €5000 a week, the truth I'd imagine is somewhere in between.
And Brian Kerr is in tears.

Fahey didn't take a pay cut. The strongest rumour I heard (ie from the strongest source) is that he's doubled his money going there

That's great to hear, Fenlon going for the hat trick. Shels, Bohs and Imminently Rovers.

Can't see that, why would they pay out that much unnecessarily. Nobody in the league could go near matching that.

(Not asking you btw just thinking out loud)

Maybe they thought they had to make him an offer he couldn't refuse so he'd move

FWIW I heard it was 900 at Pats and 1,800 at Rovers so maybe Rovers thought Pats would stretch to say 1,500 to keep him

Could all be shite but there's absolutely no way he's taken a paycut
