Went out to it as well, great game. A bit gutted for Drogs I felt they deserved to win it. Sligo are a nice club tho and I like Baraclough so fair play to them.
And Brian Kerr is in tears.

"Paul (Tuite) in previous games has been a great referee but today he’s made a mistake.
When I went over to him after the game he basically just said sorry to me and dropped his head." Drogheda Captain Derek Prendergast.

Yeah, I like Baraclough too. No doubt Drogs were robbed though. Paul O'COnor was absolutely unreal for Drogheda. I felt they might have hung on if he was playing

Dundalk released a new Umbro jersey there last week. So just wondering does anyone know why they wouldnt have done the same with us. we are both Umbro, we are both looking for a new jersey, so why would Dundalks have been launched earlier ? is it a case of deciding on a new design, waiting for Umbro to talk to us, working out a deal etc etc ?

I asked the club last week and they said they're hoping to have it out by December.

Our friends Hannover offered Trap a deal to become their manager, luckily for them he turned it down.
And Brian Kerr is in tears.

This PFAI trip to Norway that happens every year. What is the purpose ? has anyone actually be signed by a non Irish team as a result of being over there playing at it ?

this is the bit that annoys me a little. They could have had some sort of tournament here or friendlies here and the likes of Kavanagh would still have been signed and had a better chance if anything.
Going over to Norway to play a game seems like a waste of money and time to me

    from the Indo :

"Meanwhile, Bohemians are on the verge of announcing a sponsorship deal that will involve all of their players wearing green boots and the team lining out in an all-green kit when on their travels.

The Gypsies have held advanced talks with Mr Green, a betting company that is looking to expand into the Irish market.

Bohs manager Owen Heary confirmed last night that he was aware of ongoing discussions and welcomed a fresh commercial arrangement that could generate funds for the Dalymount Park club, who have gone through difficult times in recent years."

It's the PFAI trying to show their doing all they can for their players. They pay for 4/5 journos to head over too so it gets way more coverage than it really should

The price of the gargle over there probably ensures the players aren't on the razz too.

in the proper way yes. Spending a lot of the money on a trip that has thus far proved fruitless, wouldnt be the best way of doing this IMO

You're definitely right. He's been offered to the club but his consultant has been told that right now we weren't able to offer a position that would fit his profile
