    Homeless vs Derry

Its one nil to Derry at the moment and Rovers look garbage. Playing a centre midfield partnership of Bayly and Brennan while leaving Ronan Finn on the bench is hilarious. Giller and Agent Croly top notch.

Thought the coverage was decent overall but my god... Damien Richardson. He's insufferable. He's stealing a wage. Alkin is no better. It's funny when a commentator gets a name wrong and everyone has a laugh. When commentators constantly refer to several players by the wrong name throughout the game, it's just embarrassing. The gas thing is RTÉ could pay buttons to people who are actually associated with the league, who know the league to commentate but instead it's the same old spoofers.

In an ideal world I'd love to see for example today, a game in Dublin on the box, get Ger O'Brien or Aidan Price or another captain/influential player who's not involved and playing in that area to commentate. Mightn't be able to do all the commentary mumbo jumbo but they'd offer a better insight than Richardson and at the very least they'd get player names right.

A good few clubs have lads with megaphones leading the singing but they are usually kept well away from the microphones and there is more fans signing to cover it up.

Has anyone been reading about the FC Bayern President Uli Hoeness and his court case? Some People saying over here he will get 3 years, some people saying suspended sentence because he paid back €10 Million of the taxes

Going to Frankfurt vs Freiburg tomorrow. Eintracht Frankfurt are doing a deal on their site. €25 for train ticket and match ticket. Very good deal, IMO.

Good publicity for the filth especially if Liverpool win the league.

Don't mind publicity, its the money thats the key. Wonder what time of team they'll have out as world cup year should rule out most of them you'd imagine?

Doesn't matter, there will still probably be 20-30,000 at it.

A few days in the national media for the scum as well. Good move for them

It'll be sold out even with 2/3 first teamers. I wasn't arguing there...

From what I've heard it's basically like the Madrid thing and they'll get a set fee.

Again, I'm not knocking it. Just won't be the mega cashcow some might think

I cant decide if i would like to see them lose by a small margin or for them to be hammered and brought down a peg or two

Cant even see Rovers playing a full strength team for this as they have a league game 48 hours later, knowing the league that fixture will be moved for them.

They're arranging nothing. FAI organised and didn't want to pay the money they paid to Celtic last year. They know a LOI XI is a disaster so picked a LOI club.

I'm not knocking ROvers here, just pointing out that its the FAI's thing

If the FAI have organised this, under what criteria were Rovers chosen? Were Pat's (as Champions) asked? I don't imagine Rovers will be making huge money off this - the profits will go to Liverpool and the FAI I imagine - but the exposure for them is very good indeed.
