    Smile

Why did we stop playing 'didn't we have a wonderful time the day we went to bangor'. Always seemed to fire up Derek Carty and Jackie Jameson....

Just saw this, I played it a couple of times on the All Saints Show around the time we played Bangor Celtic, Joe & Andy looked at me like I'd ten heads.....

For Thursday how 'bout the Road to Nowhere by Talking Heads or the Blades - Last Man in Europe (or should we leave that one for a few weeks????)

You got a mention on the commentary yesterday Gary! Eoin Hand said he'd "be fuming if I was manager and that was played, you never count your chickens, ever" then at the end Darragh Maloney said you obviously weren't premature in playing the CL music and we are the champions

I also got a mention in The Star, some strong words off the club and about 5,000,000 tweets along the lines of "You've jinxed us now, you fucker!" from anxious Saints.

2-0 up at home and cruising only needing a point from the last 3 games to seal it? It was in the bag Haha I knew what I was doing

Was only trying to keep everyone buzzing through half-time. Was pissing myself laughing though. Hundreds of grown men belting the theme song to Mannequin together and then doing their best to sing along to the Champions League song Haha Was just a great night.

We needed a draw against Sligo as they were 7 points behind, but if they had beaten us, it would've been 4points with 2 games to go.

Glad it didnt backfire tho. I liked the champions league music

It was very poor form, complete lack of respect to Sligo, they were in the exact same position last year and they didn't do it.

Hate saying something like that after winning the league, it's something Rovers would do.

    Thank fuck it didn't backfire.

That's a fair enough point. It seems to be split down the middle. A lot of people agree with you but a lot of people thought it was class.
It wasn't about Sligo, it was about us. I don't play songs slagging off other teams, I never have. None of the Sligo people who I was talking to on Twitter or Facebook took offence to it. I just wanted to keep the atmosphere going through half time.

I've let my gripe be known on twitter about this HofnerGaz. I never thought it was a dig at Sligo I just thought it was a bit premature. A small gripe to have on such a great week tho.

You did a good job this season so I won't hold a grudge

Maybe I'm hanging around with the wrong people but I haven't spoken to one person who thought it was a good idea. We went nuts when Dundalk did it at Oriel but at least it was at full time there. Could have really affected matters on the pitch for that second half. Two nil against the reigning champions is a good position but one goal for Sligo and anything could have happened. You don't really want to be giving them any motivation at all. Anyway, it worked out in the end so no real harm done.

In fairness they were completely different situations, Dundalk done it because they won a match half way through the season. Minnows

Who went nuts? We laughed and moved on and slagged it. Very different.

I didnt mind the champions league theme song, but playing 'we are the champions' was a bit OTT. Anyway, the song doesn't lie.

    CHAMPIONS
