Is that Bahn website the best one to use? I expected them trains to be a lot faster. Too slow for my liking !

A German car pool site that may come in some use.

Friends have used it and only heard one bad story.

The ICE trains are expensive, (they are the fast ones). The regional trains (RE) are not as expensive but slower. There should be an option in the same section as you are choosing where you are travelling that says (Ohne ICE) which means (Without ICE) and it will gove you all the trains/connections that don't contain this train

The fares are all the same due to the regions and the travel time doubles

In fairness a return ticket Dublin to Cork is €71 for 261km compared to €75 Dusseldorf to Hanover for 278km. Barely anything in the difference and a far superior train.

Serisously overly complicated, it will make sense when everyone has their tickets.

Everyone grouping up and ungrouping up has made a simple purchase of train tickets seriously complicated.

For me and the other lads anyway

    Cheers btw

yeah we are having problems hopefully sorted 2moro,

the offer is there then they take it away and ya have to go through the same shite again,

i dont really like the whole thing where you have to show up on time for it, unlike here where ya can show up whenever ya want.
