Flying With a cast

Does anyone know what are the rules with regards to flying with a cast?

I've a broken bone in my foot and am due to fly out on 5th July..

If you get a letter from the doctor saying that you're are fight to fly. You won't have any problems.

it depends on the airline so i would check with them, i work in e/d so if a cast is fitted we tell them they can't fly its the basic rule but i work in a kids e/d so it may be just for kids as a rule, however it may be worth checking out with the hospital if they will fit you with a boot cast if you know what i mean they can be removed for swimming showering etc, one last thing if you are going with the cast ask your doc or hosp for a fit to fly letter, safer in the long run cheers
