Is there any way I can restore my screen settings to the ones I had yesterday.
Poxy little cousin decided to change press the contrast button on the screen and it won't let me change things back! (its as if its locked)?

Maybe try a system restore. Stores info at restore points at different times throughout the day so you can go back to them.
Start > Accessories >System Tools > System Restore.
*Note* Only restore the computer to yesterday (before screen settings changed) if you haven't anything really important saved on computer since the screen settings changed
