    Ireland v Slovakia/Russia

Any word over there if McGeady is fit enough to play? Or if Trap is calling anyone up (McCarthy?) to replace Fahey?

Also, for those who didn't know, the Russia game kicks off at 4pm Irish time next Tuesday

Definitely not calling up mccarthy for slovakia game, possibly for russia game. Looks like trap is making a point.

Yeah. They're strict. Ye won't get into their section unless its empty and you walk round without a steward saying anything to you.

Yep, youve to buy an adult ticket and then you can buy 10 euro tickets with that. Got them through a club though.

Solid back 5 (although I'm not a fan of St Ledger at all), No Doyle is interesting
And Brian Kerr is in tears.

Ugh, I hate Whealan and Andrews in centre midfield tomorrow. Still think we'll win though!

I had hoped Andrews dropping down a division might be the end of him, but obviously not.

I could understand him being selected if we had a dearth of options, but we don't - trap just refuses to pick any of our better players in the middle.

He's used Andrews and Whelan as his first choice pretty much since he got the job. Hasn't done him too badly so far IMO

Mick McCarthy used the same logic when he continuously chose Jeff Kenna over Denis Irwin.

I'd much rather see a more progressive / better player in there alongside Whelan. Certainly McCarthy needs to play in the centre given the options we have out wide. Fahey has performed consistently in a green shirt for the last 12 months. Even Darron Gibson is a marked improvement on Andrews. Marc Wilson is also worth a shout at CM.
