Apparently he was great at their Sun City gig and for that reason alone I couldn't stand to look at the cunt

Each to their own - irritating bollox IMO, he embodied the sort of stadium rock performer I simply can't abide. Queen were all style and little content for me.

Also history has been conveniently rewritten since his death. Anybody with any taste despised Queen by the late 80s, they frequently scored high in 'most hated bands' polls. Then as soon as Mercury snuffs it, everyone loves them. Not to mention their patronage of Apartheid South Africa which has also fallen into a memory hole.

Simple - if your musical taste is different to mine, you've no taste!

I'll happily have no taste then. I think you and I are polar opposites when it comes to music.

Whatever about his music, never liked Mercury from what we knew of him as a person. Came across as having the worst excesses of white colonial attitudes and his two fingers to Steve Van Zandt's crew over Sun City and going ahead to play there for the cash on offer was despicable. Wouldn't go so far as to say he or anyone else deserved to die of AIDS (though there was a certain karma in somebody as hatefully homophobic as Eazy-E dying of what he considered a gay disease) but I'd have far more sympathy for most victims than him.

Actually, on the subject of aids, anyone else see George Michael was in intensive care for pneumonia? Any rumours knocking round about that? (I seriously hope not).

With any famous gay bloke having pneumonia there's bound to be. He's reportedly getting better though, that doesn't really happen with the oul hand grenades.

Altho a great movie in its own right, it doesnt really create the same atmosphere of the 1st. Mega Shark vs Giant Octupus.... The the fact the Giant Octopus gets mega shark in a fucking headlock and punches him repeatedly in the head makes it a step above Crocasaurus.

They shoot it near Tolka (Ballybough) as well.

Speaking of Inchicore, I seen they knocked down one of the blocks in Michael's, are all of them getting torn down?

Yeah they are. Little by little. Locals and the Family resource centre against is as they won't have any HQ if the flats get knocked down.

Well if the homeless could get away with it and have everyone refer to them as the model club, why shouldn't anyone else?
