Basically they say they were never thinking of charging for links for non profit websites but don't believe commercial websites should profit from their work.
The 'links' thing seems to be a bit of red herring and its more about copyright infringement (ie copying parts of stories etc). While I don't neccesarily agree with them, the issue of 'paying' for internet content is a difficult one for small markets like Ireland
