    No link broke. Sorry.

www.nni.ie and then check the press release from 4th january

Basically they say they were never thinking of charging for links for non profit websites but don't believe commercial websites should profit from their work.

The 'links' thing seems to be a bit of red herring and its more about copyright infringement (ie copying parts of stories etc). While I don't neccesarily agree with them, the issue of 'paying' for internet content is a difficult one for small markets like Ireland

Depends very much on what they define as 'commercial websites'. If this forum has ads, is it then commercial?

That article does confirm that they believe they own copyright on the link itself.

Yeah, its certainly an area for concern (not for the forum...)

I'm not defending the typically heavy heanded arsey way they went about it, but like I said the issue of paying for internet content is a big one

Is it the Times that charge to see their content on the internet ?

Can't remember which journalist it was who posted links on twitter and the article was free for the first two hours of it going up on the website. After that you had to subscribe or pay a small fee

New York Times lets you read 10 free articles a month. Irish times archive is subscription based (after a year)

Skygo is limited to 2 devices, not a problem if you only intend to use it on one.

pain in the fucking hole tbh if want it on more.

And oddly enough we lost by two more goals on aggregate to Steaua than we did to Slovan. We could have told them Steaua were two goals a better side without them kicking a ball.

The Pope is resigning at end of the month. Very short, and difficult, stint at the top for him
