Rico is the manager, didn't Delaney specifically say it WOULDN'T be him?
Hope to god none of our players are taken for it, we'll be in the middle of our two european third round qualifying rounds then anyways

it could be 11 people off this forum the league decides to put out, Makes feck all difference to the FAI, It's the money they get from Inter, City and Celtic 'supporters' is the important thing
And Brian Kerr is in tears.

I think it should be the highest placed team that doesn't qualify for Europe

I just hope it doesn't end up like last time, an embarrassment for the league. Not sure Damien Richarson is the right person to manage either.

Great stage for players in our league. Timing will never be right with us playing very early in Europe every year. All these tournaments are August affairs which is a pity. Tough one to call in a way too. If loi players aint involved everyone would be saying typical FAI ignoring its own league and well you can see the reaction above from them being involved. League winners need a game at that time like a hole in the head and highest non euro team could be someone like UCD. PR disaster for the league.

This forum is no place for that sort of sensible talk.

Eh, so? If he was on 100k, or 10 million, the dole queue wouldn't change.

The FAI recently put a lot of their own people on the dole while Delaney was getting pay rises. Maybe that's seanyboy's point?

Should really be the league champions playing in it. If their in europe send out the A Championship team with some of the first teamers that need game time. If they want to keep it respectable give it to the runner up if their not in europe. These mixed teams aren't going to do our league any favours.

I really hope the league team gets a bit more time together beforehand than they did for the Man Utd game

Just seen this on the MNS twitter page
'On tonights show we have, Colm Foley Johnny McDonnell and Damien Richardson, all the highlights + the airtricity select squad announcement.'

Strange naming a squad this early when 4 out of 10 premier league teams 3 of whom are the top 3 mightn't be able to provide players due to Europe
And Brian Kerr is in tears.

Tokenistic at best, this isn't what LOI fans mean when we say we want the FAI to do more for the domestic game. I won't be attending, and I doubt many LOI fans will. Eyes on the prize.
