    A couple for Monday:

Which former League Of Ireland footballer was the first man to score more than 3 goals in a single Premier League (England) match?

Which member of Aston Villa's squad in their League Championship winning season of 1980/81 didn't play enough games to win a medal but subsequently won the title 4 times with another English club?

There's only about 15-20 who have done this. yakuba, Fowler, Berbatov, Solksjaer and someone else have scored more than 3 twice. Couldn't tell you the ex-LOI one though

Will give yiz a clue - he played in the Premier League before he played in the LOI.

Was bugging me so looked it up. Wouldn't have got him. Forgot he played here (always remember his English international team mate though)

Snap to be honest. Heard him while watching football over the weekend (there's a clue for anyone still trying to get this) and looked him up on wiki. Reading that he'd played here was one of those "shit, yeah" moments. Do remember the day he scored 4 goals in one game though - he hadn't really been known before that.

As regards the other one, a few clues:
You'd all know him but wouldn't associate him with Villa for whom he spent just that 1980/81 season without ever making a competitive appearance.
He won the league on both sides of the border in Britain.
He achieved something for the club with which he won the league medals that hadn't been done for almost 20 years.
He's still involved in the game in a key position with a major British club.

Yeah. Scored 4 goals for Norwich City away to Everton in the 1993/94 season and later played for Dublin City in the First Division (along with Carlton Palmer). He was the 'expert' commentator on Valencia v Real Betis last night and I googled him when we went 3 down.

Is it Brian McClair? If it is I dond't know he was with Villa. Remember he was the first United player to score 20 goals since Best though

I didn't have a clue he scored 4 goals in a game it was the, he played over here after the premier league, that gave it away. I knew it had to be either him or Palmer and assumed Palmer had never got 4 in a game.
And Brian Kerr is in tears.

Yep, that's him. And he was indeed the first since best to break the 20 goal barrier - many big name signings had failed to do that over the years. Never realised he'd been south of the border as a kid. Was also surprised to see he was with United til '98 which is how he ended up with 4 medals, would've said he lost his place when Keane came in (around 93) and guessed he went in the clearout in '95 with Hughes, Ince and Kanchelskis.
He's currently Director of Man U's Youth Academy.

Miguel Delaney has listed the Irish scorers in the EPL this season. 19 in total. 7 of which aren't going to the euros.

Nefore listing them all, can you name the top scorer?

Here's one a few of you may have heard the weekend.

Didier Drogba set a record last weekend. What was it?

Think Keane has scored two or three hat-tricks?

A hat-trick means 3 goals in one game, not 3 goals in one season.
