    The Football Trivia Thread

Liverpool signed Paulsen today. He'll become the 7th player to play in Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A and La Liga

Can you name the other 6? (I only got 3 of them)

Just to point out Poulsen is fucking shite, so any liverpool fans out there hoping for the new Roy Keane hes not hes awful the guy is incapable of completing a pass, brilliant at getting the ball and then giving it away tho.

Tbh im an interested to see if this guy can be seen as a good player in the PL. He was awful in a decent league.

I'm stumped on this one - only ones for both I can think of have already been mentioned, Rigobert Song and Abel Xavier

edit: just read the thread and realised Song isn't one of them

In fairness you could be describing Mascherano there and he's valued at 25 Million. If they can sell JM for 20M+ and pick up a bloke for little or nothing to do the destroyer thing for a couple of seasons that's good business IMO.

Poulsen isnt a mascherano type of player really , he isnt going to run around like him anyway . Seems to much of a casual player , a bit like carrick . Liverpool arnt really buying players that are going to challenge for the league are they ? Joe Cole is the only signing so far thats improved the squad

Wrong - that's the one thing he always did for Sevilla.

Getting back to the quiz, is Maniche the Portugeezer?

    Maniche is right.

Pierre Wome is the cameroon guy. Only knew him as the guy who missed the panelty. I couldn't have told you any of the clubs he played for

Here's one. Which country have won the World Cup on more occasions than they've appeared in the Final itself?

Correctamundo. Had Brazil drawn the last game they'd have won the World Cup on home soil. They were drawing until 11 minutes from time when their keeper let in a soft goal at his near post. After the game he was just leaving to catch a bus home to his own small village in rural Brazil when a telegram arrived from his Dad telling him to leave it a month or so - they were ready to lynch him back home.
