Thought Sprinter Sacre was getting up for me there but hitting the last did for him, though I doubt he had enough in the tank to hold off Al Ferof anyway.

I'm a Segal fan and respect his opinions greatly but people are neglecting to mention he often gets 2 bites at the cherry. He tips one up Antepost during the season then again nearer the race. His first pick for the Supreme Novices was Zaidpour who only finished 7th.

Bit sick over Captain Chris. I included him one of my Tote Ten To Follow teams at the start of the season as I saw him as a likely Arkle winner (it's a bonus point race). Lost confidence with him after Ghizao beat him twice, especially when he gave him a stone and beat him at Newbury over the Christmas. Was convinced Captain Chris needed further so couldn't have had him today. Would have been interesting to see how Ghizao would have gone had he not clattered that fence - I backed him specifically because he'd been the most assured jumper out of these to date.

Picked out Wolf Moon last night when he was 20's and then Segal pricewised it and smashed the price before I could get on at the big price. On at 14s and I'd obviously take that! Hope he gets this one right too.

For a horse I didn't back, delighted for Hurricane Fly. Poor thing looks terrified in the winners' enclosure. Good for Irish racing, would have been a poor comment on our 2 mile scene if he'd been well beaten. Still looking for my first winner and the Tuesday is generally one of the easiest days to get one.

I think Hurricane fly was wearing ear plugs or something. Obviously a very timid horse. Like yourself, didnt back it, but delighted for the win. That horse deserves its moment in Cheltenham.

Off the mark with Sizing Australia. In the England v Ireland battle, we have it back to 3-2 now and hopefully Quevega can provide the equalizer.
