Managerless a week before the season, Browne has resigned
Jaysus. They're fucked.
http://www.rte.ie/sport/soccer/2011/0226/browne.html
they will really struggle with this squad: http://www.droghedaunited.ie/senior.php
They wont last the season IMO
Sad. I know a good few quite passionate drogs fans. Put their own money in too.
Might send up me cv,If the play the way fifa have them ranked we should get Europe, might bring in Declan o'brien just to make sure we do![]()
Wolves Saint
There a waste of a place in the league, they're doomed to get relegated.
Then again, i said that this time last year about Bray. But i really can't see Drogheda even making a fight of it.
Bring in Roddy Collins I say... Would be a perfect manager for a joke of a club... TBH I'd say they'd finish bottom of the first division if they were in it as well
Negativity is the new Positivity.
I don't think there will be too many Drogs fans upset that he's gone. Better now then at any stage during the season IMO
Still would have been better a week ago or so...
Negativity is the new Positivity.
Please be Roddy Please be Roddy Please be Roddy
And Brian Kerr is in tears.
Rumour Cooke has resigned at Mons and will be named Drogs manager today or tomorow
why would he do that. hes gonna have his work cut out
Bad time for Monaghan to lose a manager. I wonder who they will appoint, seem to have a good setup up there
Christy Fagan - He scores big goals
down to do with premier div football i was told. wanted to resign after the bray game.
One love *** One club
Drogs have defo traded up there. Had mons playing lovely stuff at times.
I used to know it all, Now I'm going to school.
Big mates with Pete Mahon too...
I would say Buckley would be one of the favorites for the Monaghan job now
Cooke managed Monaghan against Bray today and hasn't signed anything yet apparently
Browne said his budget averaged 75 quid a week for an 18 man squad. He said it was totally unworkable. Cooke has a lower budget now then at monaghan
I'd say less than half the squad are getting anything though so the rest on about 150 a week
Considering they were talking about going amateur, thats an OK figure
they were talking of going amateur in first div though.surely its comfortably the lowest ever budget in the prem in recent times. If they have 200 paying adults at home every game it will pay the wage bill for the season.
How much do you reckon UCD's bill is?
Going to be a long struggle for them. Might be a case of hoping to get 200 people out at the end of the season
